The Crusades were started by Christians in their desire to have sole control over the Holy Land and by the desire of the Pope, Urban II, to unite the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Church after the schism of 1054, against a common enemy, which was Islam, the Christian Crusaders had no desire to share the Holy land with anyone, in contrast under Muslim rule Jerusalem was a multicultural city with Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities, Jewish communities who had been invited back to Jerusalem by Muslims after the eviction of the Byzantine Empire and its anti-Semitic ban on Jews entering the city which had been imposed by the Romans after the Collapse of the Temple. Jews helped to defend the city alongside Muslims against the crusader army before they were massacred alongside the Muslims by the Crusaders. The Crusades aim was to capture the Holy land from the Muslim Arabs solely for Christianity, it was an act of imperialism, racism and Barbarism that the modern Western world is rightly ashamed of and now rejects, for you to seek to justify it is beyond belief, oh and btw the Mosque you are referring to in Jerusalem is the Al-Aqsa Mosque which was built on the temple mount, a site sacred to Jews that was destroyed by the Romans which has nothing to do with Christianity, and yes Christians subjected Jews to centuries of violent anti-Semitism, particularly during the inquisition when Jews and Muslims had to convert or otherwise leave, or stay and be burned at the stake as heretics. The plight of the 5-year-old boy who was reportedly detained for five hours at Dulles airport was one of the most iconic examples in a weekend filled with protest and confusion. Senator Van Hollen helped draw national attention to the boy’s plight with a Facebook post that also blasted Donald Trump. “It is outrageous that a 5 year old boy — an American citizen and Maryland resident — was detained for more than 4 hours this evening at Dulles airport. He was held despite the fact that we gave the authorities advance notice of his arrival earlier today and, when I called later in the evening, they refused to say whether he had been released or was still in custody. Shame on you, Donald Trump. And thank goodness for the federal judge who upheld the rule of law and temporarily blocked the implementation of Trump’s removal order. We must remain vigilant and fight back.” The boy’s mother also worked with local officials to have her son released, reportedly pleading with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to help the boy. A CNN editor has filed a lawsuit against Trump’s travel ban, after being detained at Atlanta’s airport over the weekend because of the controversial executive order. Mohammed Tawfeeq, an Iraqi citizen and US green card holder since 2013, was returning from Iraq on Sunday following a CNN assignment in his role as manager for CNN’s international desk. Israel, US and India are political terrorists... There is no difference between ISIS/Al-Qaeda and above mentioned nations... The only difference is, ISIS is killing people non politically, and these nations are killing people of Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq, Afghan, Japan politically The spirit of Crusade is still alive in the west. West must learn to respect and tolerate those who are different. Stop treating foreigners like garbage and they will stop ruining your precious country. Why did you let them in in the first place if you didn't want them here? They left everything in their countries because of your promises. Are you so anxious to please that you can't say "no"? I would love to see you go to a foreign land where you don't have any friends, you don't even know anyone and you don't speak the language, and start from scratch. I would just LOVE to watch you do that. Let them integrate and stop segregating them. What I want is people being nice to each other. I don't care about race.
